Gas Meter Simulator ("the App") is a professional training tool developed by John Tramell / Praxis Training LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information in connection with your use of it.
The peer-to-peer training features operate entirely on your local device with no internet connection. The optional Training Library subscription communicates with Praxis Training LLC servers solely to verify your subscription status and deliver scenario content. No personal information is collected or stored at any point.

There are no user accounts, no login, and no registration of any kind.
If you subscribe to the Training Library, the App generates a random UUID token and stores it in your device's secure Keychain. This token is the only identifier we use — it has no connection to your name, email, Apple ID, or any personal information.
After a successful purchase, the following data is sent to praxistrainingllc.com to activate your subscription:
On each session, your token is used as a credential to fetch scenario content from praxistrainingllc.com. No other data is transmitted. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple — Praxis Training LLC never receives your payment details.
The App requests the following device permissions solely to enable its core training features.
Used exclusively to establish a direct peer-to-peer connection between two iPhones running the App during a training session. Bluetooth data is transmitted only between the two paired devices and only for the duration of the active session. No Bluetooth data is logged, stored, or transmitted to any external party.
Used to discover and connect to another device running the App on the same local Wi-Fi network. This connection is direct device-to-device and does not involve any internet traffic or external servers. No network data is logged or retained.
Used on the trainee device to measure walking speed during training exercises. This data is displayed in real time on the paired instructor device only and is never stored, transmitted to any server, or retained after the session ends. Motion data is processed entirely on-device and shared only with the directly connected instructor phone.
During a training session, the App transmits sensor readings, alarm states, and training data between the instructor and trainee devices using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework. This transmission:
In-app purchases are facilitated by Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of payment and account data. No other third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs are used. The App uses only Apple's native iOS frameworks and contains no third-party code that transmits data externally.
Gas Meter Simulator is intended for use by professional first responders, HazMat technicians, firefighters, and emergency management personnel. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us at the address below.
Subscriber tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain and transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store personal information, so there is no personal data to breach or disclose. All peer-to-peer training session data is encrypted by Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework using industry-standard protocols.
